600 HMIS Specialist – Grade 7

Part time position responsible for the confidential operation of the HMIS database including recordkeeping, reporting, and correspondence needs of the Project Manager in accordance with Gateway Community Industries’ goals. Responsible for the upkeep and support of the Ulster HMIS database Help Desk, training end users and liaison with Foothold AWARDS software. Work with Project Manager to develop training curriculum, technology and tools to streamline day-to-day program operations.

Requirements: HSD, typing and general clerical skills with minimum two years experience as administrative assistant and database use. Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint) required. Experience training others using computers. Well organized and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing skills. Able to meet multiple deadlines and work with diverse groups. Willingness to do occasional travel. Valid NYS driver’s license and must maintain a driving record, which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier.

Hours & Location: UC/Kingston – Mon-Fri, flexible hours 20-30 hours weekly


596 Site Bookkeeper – Trainee Payroll – Grade 6

Full time position responsible for promptly processing and maintaining documentation for the successful completion of Trainee Payroll. Produce paychecks for approximately 220 trainees on a bi-weekly basis. Promptly create and distribute monthly and quarterly reports. Coordinate with the Manager of Payroll the implementation of analytical procedures to verify the reasonableness and accuracy of current time studies. Provide accurate information to facilitate reporting obligations. Knowledge of prevailing wage regulations and piece rate wages. Communicate with SSA, DOL and other agencies as well as internal departments. Assist and act as backup in the processing of Staff Payroll.

Requirements: Associates degree in Accounting or Business and two years Accounting or Payroll experience; or HSD with four years Payroll or Accounting experience. Excel spreadsheet experience and data entry skills required. ADP, Access, and Report Smith Software experience preferred.

595 Vocational Coordinator – Grade 9

Full time position responsible for c oordinating the provision of vocational information and support to consumers/families and mental health clinicians for the purpose of facilitating consumer’s transition to vocational activities. Develop relationships with mental health practitioners throughout the county with the purpose of increasing the number of individuals referred to vocational services.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus two years experience in related field.  Valid NYS driver’s license and must maintain a driving record, which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Must have a favorable result from Background check, facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.

594 Site Supervisor – Grade 8

Full time position responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the OMH/OMRDD resident programs including the responsibility for staff supervision and the safe and therapeutic care of the residents in accordance with Gateway’s goals, certifying bodies and individualized habilitation plans. Function as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Requirements: Associate degree in health services related field plus 3 years experience in human services preferred or HSD with 5 years related experience. Valid NYS driver’s license and must maintain a driving record, which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Must have a favorable result from Background check, facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.

587 Van Driver – Grade 4

Part time position responsible for operating agency vans to transport trainees safely according to program needs and daily schedules.

Requirements: Valid NYS driver’s license, CDL and Article19A Certification required, to be obtained within 90 days from date of employment. Maintain a driving record which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Must have a favorable result from Background check, facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.

Location & Hours: UC/Kingston - Split shift position, Mon-Fri 6:30a-9:30a & 2:30p-5:00p


584 Food Service Supervisor – Grade 5

Full time position responsible for preparing food and assist in the training and supervision of trainees in Gateway Community Industries, Inc. Food Service Program. Assemble and deliver meals for catering contracts as needed.

Requirements: HSD or technical school diploma plus one year experience in commercial food services. NYS driver’s license and must maintain a driving record which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Must have a favorable result from Background check, facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.

599/598(PT)/590/585/560/556 Residential Counselor – Grade 5

Full time positions responsible to facilitate the growth and development of the skills necessary for independent living through training and assistance in the core services areas mandated by OMH/OMRDD and Medicaid, in accordance with the resident’s Treatment Plans and Gateway’s goals.

Requirements: HSD plus 1 year related experience required. Must attend staff meetings. Valid NYS driver’s license and must maintain a driving record which meets the insurable criteria of the Agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Must have a favorable result from Background check, facilitated through fingerprinting and mandated by NYS law Chapter 575.
